US Attorney Carmen Ortiz Visits Cambridge College

On October 30th Cambridge College welcomed US Attorney Carmen Ortiz as our second Leadership Speaker Series presenter.   The first Hispanic and woman to represent Massachusetts as a State Attorney, Ms. Ortiz inspired the College audience in sharing the significance the work of her office and the story of her unique leadership journey.  From her family's working class roots in New York City to being the first in her family to achieve a college degree, to overcoming personal tragedy on the home front, Ms. Ortiz's story reflected a common theme of commitment and perseverance echoed by the students of Cambridge College.  Her personal message of the importance of building relationships and having compassion for others, underscored the essence of true leadership and the value of community in achieving ones goals.
