About Liliana Patino

Liliana Patino is a Colombian – American native who currently serves as Director of Community Engagement for Eliot Community Human Services. For thirty years serving individuals and families in multiple settings she has been able to interact with multiple populations in diverse settings, from preschool as the classroom in a day care center for children with developmental disabilities, to mental outpatient clinics.

Her passion to work with families started when she was teaching preschoolers, where she discovered the need families had with everyday information, including child development, community resources, culturally appropriate services, and more. She continued her career working as a home visitor for the Melrose – Wakefield Healthy Families Program. For twelve years, Liliana supported young first-time parents from multiple communities, most of them from diverse cultural backgrounds, minority groups/ low-income communities trying to achieve personal and parenting goals.

In her current role at Eliot CHS Liliana oversees a couple of community programs and initiatives, including the everyday operations of the Eliot Family Resource Centers (FRC), a program funded by the Department of Children and Families. FRC’s are a statewide network of community-based providers, offering Child Required Assistance (CRA) prevention, multicultural parenting programs, support groups, early childhood services, information and referral resources in the community, and education for families with children. Under Liliana’s leadership, the Eliot FRC has reached over 10.000 families with these vital services since opening.

As Director of Community Engagement, she leads the daily operations of the Family Resource Center, she is part of the team that leads the Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHC), Eliot Family Shelters and other community initiatives. Liliana holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in marriage and family from Cambridge College, during her time at Eliot, Liliana has served in multiple roles, including Outpatient Clinician, School Clinical Supervisor, and Director at the Family Resource Center; in addition to that Liliana is a vital member of the community and point of reference for multiple initiatives.
